Abstract:

Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome (EGUS) has been widely recognised as a significant disease entity in the horse for the past 20 years. Interest in the disease has increased recently as the distinction between squamous and glandular disease has become evident, and as the efficacy of monotherapy with oral omeprazole for the treatment of glandular disease has been questioned.
