Abstract: Depending on the viral strain, exposure to ND virus may lead to subclinical infection or a range of syndromes including respiratory distress, diarrhoea, CNS involvement with spasms, torticollis and paralysis. Mortalities may be as high as 90%. Natural hosts are domestic poultry, turkeys, pheasants, quail, pigeons, ducks, geese and many species of wild and captive birds.
