Abstract: Marek's disease is potentially the most common and economically Important lymphoproliferative disease of domestic poultry. It is caused by infection with a herpesvirus. Clinical signs are most common at 2 months of age and are usually related to paresis due to infiltration of nerves with neoplastic cells. Control measures include vaccination and selection for genetlc resistance. Domestic poultry are the only species significantly affected.
