Abstract: Infectious bronchitis is an acute, highly contagious respiratory disease which is characterized by tracheal rales, coughing and sneezing. Infection of the urogenital system occurs, particularly with some strains of the virus, resulting in renal failure and damage to the oviduct. The effects of the disease may be exascerbated by poor environmental control. The domestic fowl is the only natural host.
