Abstract: The proventricular worm Dyspharynx nasuta causes severe proventriculitis in pigeons, passerines and gallinaceous birds in many part of the world. Tetrameres causes similar problems in gallinaceous and anserine birds. Amidostomum anseris is a host specific gizzard worm of geese and ducks.
