Abstract: In reply to the correspondence from Beasley, may I heartily endorse his request for any factual or anecdotal reports of the effects of xylazine in humans. As previously reported, the sum total of our knowledge of this drug and its effects on humans is sparse and sometimes anecdotal. It is hard to imagine that a drug that has been around for so long with such potential for human abuse or misuse has gone unreported. This review was undertaken as part of the development of the Australian National Velvet Accreditation Course
