Abstract: Generalised tuberculosis was found in a captive kiwi (Apteryx mantelli) at autopsy. Sequential faecal sampling of the other kiwis and falcons (Falco novaeseelandiae) held in the aviary revealed an excretor of Mycobacterium avium.
