Abstract: In response to a number of requests to the Animal Remedies Board to explain the present situation regarding the application of selenium to pasture as a topdressing, it is hoped that the following will allay some of the fears that have been expressed and counter rumours which proliferate where facts are not completely known. For many years now the Agricultural Research Division of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries have been working on this means of administering selenium to livestock
