Abstract: A number of enquires have been made to us regarding the serological responses of cattle to vaccination with a hardjo/pomona vaccine, especially with regard to the differential diagnosis of bovine abortion in vaccinated herds. We therefore hope that the following results may assist in interpreting bovine leptospiral titres. These results were obtained by monitoring cattle which had received one or more 2ml doses of a commercial hardjo/pomona vaccine. Following the administration of one dose of vaccine to 20 seronegative cattle which had never previously been vaccinated or exposed to hardjo or pomona infection, their microscopic agglutination test (MAT) titres reached a maximum of 1:24 to hardjo and 1:96 to pomona at 4 weeks
