Abstract: One should only jump on a bandwagon when there is a bandwagon to jump on going the right way. The agricultural industry has been well served by the organic phosphorus compounds over nearly 20 years a better record than the chlorinated hydrocarbons. With few exceptions in this country, the organic phosphorus compounds are as suitable now as they were many years ago: therefore, one tempers one`s judgement when a new family comes along maybe better the devil you know than the one you don`t. However, to be fair, much is known of the cyclopropanoids (the correct term), or synthetic pyrethroids, and their possible strengths and weaknesses; and, at this stage, certain statements can be made…
