Abstract: The format of this journal has now been established for 2 years and, by and large, has been greeted with approval by our readers. The new format involved more than just a change of shape and size; new, computer-set typefaces, paper, cover and contents page were chosen. In addition, a leading article, the central blue pages and a page for classified advertisements were introduced. The rapid rise in costs of labour and materials during the last 3 years meant that the old habit of leaving empty spaces here and there could no longer be maintained; in turn, this led to a new, but less satisfactory, arrangement for reprinting…
