Abstract: Congratulations on your hard-hitting Leader on “Communication” in the June issue. Every word was justified and the time overdue for someone to “speak up”. I was active on NZVA Council 25 years ago when our Journal was founded. Over later years I have been disturbed by the ever-increasing “Publish or Perish” syndrome among contributors. Too often, material published is little more than a rehash of work already done quantity all-important and quality ignored.
