Abstract: We wish to record the identification of the nematodes Dictyocaulus viviparus (Bloch, 1782). Railliet and Henry, 1907; and Elaphostrongylus cervi Cameron, 1931, from the wapiti (Cervus canadensis). Several wapiti were brought to Invermay Agricultural Research Station in early 1975. At post-mortem examination 5 wapiti contained lung worms which were identified as Dictyocaulus viviparus
