Toxoplasma encephalitis in a cat

Abstract: I wish to report this rare finding in a 3½ year-old cat. The animal concerned was a neutered male domestic cat. History revealed that the cat had been missing for 4 days, and had not eaten after arriving home. On clinical examination the animal was listless, temperature 39.4°C. Abdominal palpation was resented especially in the renal area. A tentative diagnosis of acute nephritis was made, treatmenst given, and the animal hospitalized…
