Abstract: I should like to comment on two articles in the October, 1972, issue of the N.Z. Veterinary Journal. The first is C. M. Kelly`s “Colitis X in the horse” (pp. 190-2). While Mr Kelly`s case may well be the first New Zealand one to survive, the condition cannot be too uncommon as even this practice, where the horse provides only a minor part of the work, has seen two fatal cases in the last 5 years…
