Abstract: In their letter, Elliott and Jones (1971) comment that, since little information is published on the results of milks submitted to diagnostic services, practitioners must interpret reports assuming similarity with published results from experimental situations and that this assumption may be suspect. To rectify this omission, a summary of results from samples received during the 10 years to July 1971 together with an interpretation of the leucocyte number are given in Table 1
