Abstract:
Facial eczema (FE) is not a new disease, in fact its existence in New Zealand has been known for over 100 years. However, there are still lots of gaps in the knowledge around this disease. It has traditionally been a disease of the North Island and intermittent for those of us veterinarians in the top of the South Island. However, due to the effects of climate change facial eczema is moving down the country, impacting regions that have traditionally not seen facial eczema.
