Abstract:

Neatly arranged stacks or rows of baleage form a ubiquitous part of our New Zealand rural landscape. Home made or purchased in, baleage provides 'feed-in-a-bale' for stock during times of pasture or crop deficit. Behind that colourful wrap, all manner of feeds lurk inside - delivering anything from high quality silage through to inedible compost.
