Abstract:

The role of nutrition on performance in greyhounds is difficult to investigate, given the complex interplay of factors that may affect the outcome of a race. The present review looks at daily caloric requirements; ideal ratios of fat, protein and carbohydrate; supplementary vitamins and minerals; and how these recommendations may be implemented.
