Abstract: This review into the need for a Commonwealth commitment to a national Ovine Johne's disease (OJD) eradication campaign was commissioned because attempts to reach agreement on how best to proceed had reached an impasse. The impasse reflected differences in judgement about risk and the likely and appropriate cost of currently available response options.
