Case History of a Herd TB Breakdown

Abstract: In January 1998 there was an explosive outbreak of bovine tuberculosis in a dairy herd east of Te Kuiti. The size and speed of this breakdown was exceptional. Ancillary blood tests were used to facilitate the investigation and elimination of infection in the herd.
