Abstract: This paper reports preliminary findings of a systematic review project currently being completed under the umbrella of the BEME (Best Evidence Medical Education) Collaboration (http://www.bemecollaboration.org/Reviews+In+Progress/Veterinary-Attributes/). The BEME Collaboration is an international group committed to evidence-informed education in the medical and health professions, largely through production of systematic reviews. Following BEME procedures, this review examined the veterinary literature in a rigorous, systematic and transparent manner to seek evidence addressing the following review question: Which non-technical (professional) competencies are most important to the success of graduate veterinarians?
