Abstract: This paper displays how research was undertaken for a book on Women Veterinarians in Australia. In particular, the paper considers the available information sources for Norma Moncur and Roberta Read and what I (HJ) learned about these women. I (HJ) was honoured to have been asked by the Australian Veterinary History Society if I would complete the book started by Robin Giesecke who unfortunately died in 2010. From notes that Robin had made, she obviously had plans for a book on Women Veterinarians in Australia from well before her death.
