Abstract: I recently examined a masked lovebird, (Agapornis personata), housed in the Wellington Zoological Gardens. The bird was a young female which had not been obviously ill, but died overnight. On autopsy, I removed ten Ascaridia platyceri (Hartwich and Tscherner 1979), and three CapilIaria sp. from the intestine. The pancreas, left oviduct, left dorsal peritoneal wall, both lungs, liver, ovary, and a part of the ventral surface of the vertebral column exhibited hard, irregularly-shaped lesions which each measured about 4mm in width
